Youth Safety

The National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009 – 2020 seeks to achieve a single high level outcome: Australia’s children and young people are safe and well.
Under the National Framework protecting children is everyone’s responsibility. The Defence Youth Safety Framework articulates the principles that guide Defence youth safety efforts and action and how Defence will contribute to the National Framework.
All of Defence’s youth activities must align with good practice youth development principles. The Department’s youth frameworks and policies are available from this section.
